It’s easy to enjoy your fishing trips with us in Ontario Canada because Lake Wenasaga is an fisherman's dream lake to fish. With 34 miles of shoreline, a five-mile river that leads north to a picturesque waterfall and the fact that it is a spawning lake, Lake Wenasaga has abundant numbers of walleye and northern pike. The fishery starts with a 30-foot waterfall at the north end of the river and ends with fast water rapids at the south end of the lake. These water rapids allow large numbers of fish to come up into Lake Wenasaga from Lac Seul for spawning, yet are steep enough to prevent boats from accessing our lake from below. The large waterfall at the north end of river also helps keep Wenasaga secluded since boats are unable to travel down the falls from the lake above.
There isn’t any need for guides on Lake Wenasaga. We’ll just hand you a map with all the great fishing spots, set you up with a quality boat and motor, and you will be on your way.
Remote Day Fishing Trips
For anglers who would like the opportunity to be even more remote and the only boat fishing on a lake, we invite you to try a day on our boats that we keep stored on numerous remote lakes. You can easily drive to these outer lakes and enjoy the experience of being surrounded by untouched Canadian wilderness.
2024 fishing trip rates
Trip Package
Your trip will include 6 days and starts at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday with departure scheduled by 10:00 a.m. the following Friday. Wenasaga’s fishing lodge offers lakeside cabins that are clean, comfortable, and fully equipped for light housekeeping. Cabin assignment will depend on the size of your party.
Your cabin has a three-piece bath, electric refrigerator, microwave, and gas range for cooking as well as a wood stove for heating. Cooking utensils, bed linens, and towels are provided .
For every two to three guests we provide a 16 foot Lund boat with a 15 HP outboard motor, 12 gallons of gas, swivel seats, paddles, anchor, landing net, and bait bucket. Minnows are available for purchase at market price.
Fish cleaning services not included, fish must be cleaned in fish-house. Wenasaga employee will discard fish remains.
Bringing Your Own Boat
Should you desire to bring your own boat and motor, the package rate applies and we will provide you with a free dock space and up to 12 U.S. gallons of gas. Docks include electrical service for personal craft included. If you are interested in even more remote fishing trips in Ontario, we include a day at any of our remote out lakes at no additional charge. These lakes are an easy drive from Lake Wenasaga.

Check-in and Deposits
Check-in time upon arrival is at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Checkout is at 10:00 a.m. the following Friday. A deposit of $150 per adult is required to confirm your reservation. Sign in with the lodge is required upon arrival. Deposits are refunded at our discretion.
All rates are quoted in U.S. funds and subject to sales tax. We accept personal checks for deposits and only accept cash or money orders for the balance of your payment. We apologize for any inconvenience but we do not accept credit cards.
